I haven’t talked to him for a long time though
Oh! Well it means more beings close to earth helping to pollute it. So of course it is very much to my liking. <3
I like watching them occasionally, they are very interesting for individual human beings. It feels like after the apocalypse that wasn’t some of our characteristics started overlapping.

Pollution was the youngest and he would always be. The first time he had been called by his name and not kid he stopped what he was doing and looked up in surprise. ”What is it?”, Famine had asked, a bit irritated by the sudden interest of the younger one, but Pollution simply replied “Nothing” and turned his attention back to his work, the unconcerned smile on his lips a bit brighter then usual.
It was a masterpiece. The sky pitch black like the rotten souls of the dying humans. The sun had been blocked out completely by the smoke coming from it. Just being close for several miles made your teeth vibrate and your hair fall out. And it spread. Through the air, through the water, through everything. You could see it spreading. Beautiful colours swirling through the air, getting everywhere and leaving nothing out. It was worse then radiation, killing faster, glowing brighter.
Pollution just stared and marvelled. Oh the beauty of it. The greatness. He didn’t care for the dying humans. He only cared for the spectacular view. Finally the world was as beautiful as it was supposed to be. Finally… He took a deep breath of air that would have burned his lungs if he had been human. And he started walking, watching the burning world, watching and feeling delightful. But then a realisation crept up, he stopped. This was it. Not as in Armageddon it, but as in all humans are dead it. He frowned. No. That couldn’t be, this was a masterpiece of course, but there had to be more. The humans couldn’t just be exterminated, they couldn’t be gone. They always found a way! He started running again. Searching, for something. Emotions were bubbling up in him, this couldn’t be the end. This… There was nothing, just the poisoned earth, as beautiful and perfect as he had wished it to be. But it would grow old and the beauty would vanish. And nothing new would come. And with that pollution stopped running. He let himself fall down on the ground eyes wide with denial, no he thought. He could feel his eyes burning. No. He breathed in the dust from the earth he lay on and slowly wrapped his arms around himself. This couldn’t be the end.
Such an amazing time. I wasn’t a horseperson back then but it was the first time I started to really exist. So many changes, suddenly the world was fast. Good times, and they got even better!
And they are first of all work partners but since they are the only others I talk to more than once they are also my friends. You could say that I like them a lot.
